Hey there! I’m Zihao, currently a PhD Candidate at the Fujian Normal University under the supervision of Prof.Fuzhong Wu and visiting PhD at sGlobe Lab under the supervision of Prof. Koenraad Van Meerbeek.

My research examines the responses and dynamics of forest soil organic carbon in a changing climate and its functional role in regulating ecosystem material cycling and energy flow. I aim to understand how belowground carbon processes influence forest ecosystem functioning and carbon–climate feedbacks across spatial scales.

To address these questions, I use integrate field observations and experimental approaches with large-scale data synthesis. By combining big data analytics with advanced modeling frameworks to identify general patterns and mechanisms that operate from regional to global scales.

I’m always happy to talk about research, ideas, or collaborations. Feel free to reach out by email!
